AAST Back 2 School Special! $150 Classes! AUGUST 1 - SEPTEMBER 30 PREREQUISITES: -200 yd swim without stopping (300 yd swim for deep water) -1 min tread without using arms (2 min tread for deep water) -Submerged Item Retrieval Test ABOUT THE COURSE: This In-Person course Is 100% Instructor-Led with no online learning. Students will learn the core concepts of lifeguarding and surveillance as well as life-saving skills for victims on land or in the water. SCHEDULE: Saturday, 7am-7pm SkyView YMCA 3050 E. Centennial Pkwy North Las Vegas, NV 89081 Sunday, 8am-8pm HMSC - Las Vegas Office 1631 E. Sunset Road, Suite #C114 Las Vegas, NV 89119 WHAT TO BRING: -Appropriate Swim Attire -Towel -Water Bottle -Dry, Comfortable Clothes TO PASS THE COURSE: -Verify that you are 15 or older with valid ID (License, Passport, or combination of school ID and birth certificate) -Attend all class sessions -Participate in all demonstrations -Complete all assessments, and -Pass both written tests with a minimum of 80%. CERTIFICATION: Students will receive their certification upon passing the course including the following disciplines: -Shallow Water Lifeguarding (Valid for 2 years) -First Aid (Valid for 2 years) -CPR/AED for Professionals (Valid 1 year) THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THE CLASS: This includes failure to attend without notice, registering for the wrong date/course, improper verification, lack of preparation, and failing any part of the course. Classes will not be moved to future dates, nor are there complimentary retakes of the course. Please make sure that this is a course that you are ready and prepared to take. MEDIA POLICY: Sections of each course may be photographed or recorded for performance evaluation and social media content development. By registering for a course, students provide consent to be photographed and recorded throughout the course.
