***PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COURSE IS NON-REFUNDABLE*** This AAST course is a shallow water (<5 ft) course. Prerequisites include: -200 yd swim 1 min tread without using arms. -Submerged Item Retrieval 1. This course has an online learning component that must be completed prior to the in-person session. STUDENTS THAT DO NOT COMPLETE THEIR ONLINE LEARNING MAY NOT ATTEND THE SESSION. Please use a PC/Mac, using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox. PLEASE DO NOT USE A CELL PHONE OR TABLET AS IT MAY DELETE YOUR PROGRESS. The link to the online learning is as follows: Upon registration, an automated email will be sent out to all students containing the link for the AAST resource page where the link to the online learning can be found. Please check your email after registering for the course for this link. 2. Below is the schedule: Saturday, 7am-5pm SkyView YMCA 3050 E. Centennial Pkwy North Las Vegas, NV 89081 Sunday, 9am-7pm HMSC - Las Vegas Office 1631 E. Sunset Road, Suite #C114 Las Vegas, NV 89119 3. To pass the course, students must: -Finish the online learning PRIOR to class -Pass the prerequisite swim -Attend all class sessions -Participate in all demonstrations -Complete all assessments, and -Pass both written tests with a minimum of 80%. 4. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THE CLASS. Students who do not meet the requirements for certification may pay to retake the course in the future, including failure to reschedule if absent and unsuccessful completion of course requirements. Students who need to reschedule may move their course to a future date as long as they notify us by email at any time prior to the course starting. Students removed from the class due to conduct will not be allowed to return. 5. Sections of each course may be photographed or recorded for performance evaluation and social media content development. By registering for a course, students provide consent to be photographed and recorded throughout the course. Students hereby grant to HM SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS LLC its agents, employees, licensees, and successors in interest all ownership rights the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to copyright, use and publish the photographed likeness of students in the course. 6.
