9/14-9/15: Lifeguard Instructor Course

Service Description

Our Lifeguard Instructor Course covers everything you need to train and certify lifeguard candidates. Throughout the course, Instructors/Trainers will be refreshed and updated on the following: Prerequisite Swimming and Rescue Skills Program Administration History, Mission, and Values of the Red Cross Setting Up and Running Courses Teaching for Multiple Learning Styles Conducting Skill Sessions Critical eye and providing feedback Practice Teaching Assignments Candidates for this course must be at least 17 years of age, possess a current traditional lifeguarding certification, & have completed the online Introduction to Lifeguarding Instructor Course (to be emailed after registration). Upon registration, students are provided via email the link to their online introduction and learning. The online introduction must be completed prior to arriving to classroom & aquatic sessions. Students who have not completed online coursework will be moved to future classes. Classes will be held at the following locations and times: Saturday, September 14th Moab Recreation & Aquatic Center 374 Park Ave Moab, UT 84532 800am-600pm (Mountain Time) Sunday, September 15th Moab Recreation & Aquatic Center 374 Park Ave Moab, UT 84532 800am-600pm (Mountain Time) Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn their two-year lifeguarding instructor certification through the American Red Cross.
