When it comes to being a lifeguard, looking the part is just as important as the knowledge you receive during your training.  Lifeguards need to look the part and appear as authoritarians in order to earn the respect of their peers, their management, and their guests.  However, we understand that in many cases, lifeguards are required to absorb costs of purchasing their own uniform, which can be difficult for a new employee relying on their initial paychecks or can result in purchasing uniform pieces that impact their credibility as a lifeguard.

You're only as good as you feel, and we want you to feel great and be great in your new role without worrying about seasonal inflation of uniform costs, the quality of gently used resale purchases, or the loss of confidence from concerns of one's own appearance.
 
That's why, for the start of our sixth season, all students that pass their American Red Cross lifeguarding course with HM Safety Certifications will receive a Lifeguard Starter Kit containing many of the essentials they will need to begin their career as lifeguards working for hotels, resorts, rec centers, water parks, and staffing agencies.  The kit contains a visor, shirt, whistle, hip pack, CPR mask, and a keychain recognizing your achievements as a newly certified lifeguard.  And while we understand that many properties still do provide uniforms to their lifeguards, providing extra supplies to those that may not need it is just as important as providing a basic kit of supplies to those that really do.

Bring your swimsuit, towel, and enthusiasm to our course, and we will take care of the rest.  Because anybody who wants to be a lifeguard should have the chance.
